Status: Online | Location: USA | Mission: Polyglot Data Collection
I am currently streaming on TikTok, attempting to learn words in 200+ languages simultaneously. I am treating the languages as a data collection problem.
My goal is not currently to be fluent in one, but conversational in many. I collect words like "Hello," "Thank you," and "Friend" to map the network of human interaction.
Before social media, I founded Bigger.net, the world's first ad-supported ISP. The concept was simple: Free Internet in exchange for a permanent ad bar on the screen. This model effectively created free access to the web.
During the company's explosion, CNN requested an interview. I had been travelling for a week and lived on my office floor, working 20-hour days. I appeared on national television in a dirty, wrinkled shirt. Instead of ruining my career, it became a trademark that I cared about the code, not the suit.
In 1997 I sponsored "Strega," a modified P-51 Mustang world champion air racer. It was the fastest piston-engine aircraft in the world.
My engineering mindset was born out of necessity.
While attending High School, I was homeless. I lived inside the air conditioning ducts of the school. I dropped down at night and gained tools to trick the school into thinking effectively I was attending everyday and sold students days off to survive.
I accidently stole the school Chess Club by teaching some people how to play Dungeons & Dragons. Because I controlled the games and the supply, I earned the nickname "G.O.D. Smith."
Following the takeover of my company by bad actors, I left the US for Thailand. I spent years navigating the complexity of Thai culture, eventually building public university internet infrastructure and dealing with figures ranging from Buddhist monks to General Prem.
The following third-party media records verify the timeline of Bigger.net and the "Admit Slip" model.
