So many backyard flocks are going down that they should be doing the
analysis to see if there is a link to the backyard flocks and the
commercial flocks. The article claims that 185 million birds have been infected since 2022. Most of those birds are accounted for by the 917 commercial flocks that have been infected. Moat of the commercial
infections were due to the dairy virus. For whatever reason they aren't
doing the analysis that would look for associations between these
infections. They aren't releasing the any sequence comparison analysis,
and no one else can do it because they list the sample collection
location as USA which is absolutely useless for meaningful associations
of linked infections.
